Alternating rows
Picture and words swap sides from row to row. Walks through several points with a picture each, without a monotonous column.
Good for: Benefits, services, a process told in pictures.
Weak for: More than four or five rows; on phones it is a long single column anyway.
Side by side from about 720 px; on phones every row stacks the same way, so the swap disappears.
The look, in Stylogeny
- Column grid: Vertical columns structure text and image; vertical placement is free.
- Repetition & rhythm: Repeated units create a visual cadence.
- Sequential narrative: Read as a sequence or story: panels, pages, scrolling, frames.
