Full bleed
A picture runs from edge to edge of the screen. Sets a mood before anything is read.
Good for: Stays, food, fashion, places: anything bought on atmosphere.
Weak for: Slow connections, and pictures that need a different crop at every width.
Always the full width; the height and the crop change, so the picture needs art direction.
The look, in Stylogeny
- Full bleed: Image or colour runs off every edge; no protective margins.
- Single focal point: One unmistakable point of entry.
